The values are approximate figures taken from our factory's cable selection chart; for the final cross-section selection, please consult us with the motor nameplate and well data.
How to use
The right cross-section, an efficient pump
The cable cross-section is selected according to the motor power and the cable length. If the cross-section is too small, voltage drops, the motor overheats and its service life is shortened; if it is larger than necessary, the cost increases.
- Select the voltage on the motor label (220 V / 380 V).
- Select the start type: direct-on-line (DOL) or star-delta.
- Select the motor power in kW or HP.
- Enter the total cable length from the panel to the motor in metres.
The system recommends the smallest cross-section that meets the maximum length in the chart.
